Rock-Criminals release video for new single “Red Roses” featuring Juska Salminen

Finnish rockers Rock-Criminals consisting of frontman Alex Wild, guitarist JS, bassist Mike Scott and drummer Luke Eaton have released a video for their new single “Red Roses” which features Juska Salminen on keyboards.

Rock-Criminals‘ press release indicates in part (with slight edits):

“The single is the first release from the band in two years and it will take the band’s music to a whole new level. Lead singer Alex Wild defines the song to be a step towards more modern sound including more melodies and deeper lyrics.

“We have been writing new material for two years now. I think that “Red Roses” is the best song to tell what kind of music we are releasing in the near future”, says Wild.

Rock-Criminals took part in X Factor Finland in 2018. For the last two years, they have been a part of the Rock Academy Kouvola band coaching program. At Rock Academy, they met legendary keyboard player Juska Salminen (HIMTO/DIE/FOR) who plays keyboards in the song. “We thought that Juska would fit this song perfectly and we asked him to play with us. It is an honour to have him playing in this song”, says Wild.”

The group’s Facebook page states (with slight edits): “Rock-Criminals is a vigorous rock band hailing from Hamina, Finland!

Rock-Criminals was formed back in 2011 when four guys were 12-13 years old and wanted to make rock n roll. Ever since that, the band was walked through a long road full of great moments and the journey has just started!

The band has played dozens of successful gigs all around Finland, released some self-published material and gained a great reputation as future of rock n roll.

Rock-Criminals has opened up for the Finnish punk icons such as Pelle Miljoona OY and played at the most legendary clubs in Finland such as Nosturi and Semifinal in Helsinki.

The band has released of lot of self-published material and in 2018 their song “Lions” hit the Finland’s Top 50 Viral songs on Spotify as chart number 13. Their songs have been streamed thousands of times and videos have over 30,000 views on YouTube.”

That was Lynch Mob and “Wicked Sensation” from their 1990 album ’Wicked Sensation’ to wrap up today’s “Walk The Line” Hair Metal Mixtape!

And that is today’s Hair Metal Mixtape #373 – 2/4 Tüesday

The Mixtape!

OK, Mixtapers! I’m psyched for several reasons today. It’s evolution time. For the past couple of weeks I have been Beta testing different themed days to see how it feels. And although it was fun to set parameters and rules on my own mixtapes, I don’t like parameters and rules for my mixtapes. So frig it! Today we get into trouble! Well it’s not always us who are getting into trouble, sometimes it’s them that are trouble. What kind of dangerous are we talking’ here? Dangerous on the dance floor or what? Well, let’s see…

So here’s Mark and the boys from Slaughter with “Loaded Gun”, the Lucky 13th track on ’Stick It To Ya” to kick off today’s “Trouble” edition of Hair Metal Mixtape. Crank it up and get yourself in trouble folks!

That was melodic rockers Passion and their single “Too Bad For Baby” from their 2020  self-titled debut album to wrap up today’s Hair Metal Mixtape!

Passion is a new band created by former Night By Night vocalist, Daniel Rossall a/k/a Lion Ravarez.

Inspired by the hard rock giants of the 80’s and 90’s, the idea of forming a new band sparked in Rossall’s mind when he collaborated on a song in 2017 with other former members of Night By Night. The resulting song, which could be described as amalgamation of early 90’s classic hard rock with 80’s AOR, was so encouraging that it pushed Rossall to create a whole albums worth of material.

Rossall decided to send some of the demos he was working on to Frontiers and said demos immediately sparked the interest of the label who eagerly signed PASSION to the label’s roster.

“Passion is very honored and proud to be a new member of the Frontiers family,” says Rossall “It’s a great pleasure to be among friends, influences, and other dedicated artists who all look to deliver the best music possible. We are very excited for the release of the debut album and cannot wait to perform these songs for rock fans all over the world. This is a fantastic musical opportunity for us and I would like to thank Frontiers for providing a platform to deliver our music to the right audience. Let’s ROCK!”

While Rossall played most of the instruments on the album and produced it, make no mistake, PASSION is a band. 2019 will see “The Rise of Passion” with Lion Ravarez on lead vocals, Weston James Jr. on bass and backing vocals, Chance Vanderlain on guitar and backing vocals, and Bobby Laker on drums. An absolute must for fans of AC/DC, Aerosmith, KISS, Danger Danger, Foreigner, Journey, Ratt, Van Halen, and the like.

And that is today’s Hair Metal Mixtape #368 – Trouble

Yeah man, sometimes you are the trouble and sometimes they are the trouble. Sometimes being together is trouble and being separated can also cause trouble. Does that make it Double Trouble? That’s another Mixtape! Thanks for tuning in and thanks for sticking around. I appreciate and respect your time.

That’s it folks! Thanks for listening!

I hope you are maintaining your physical distance from your friends and loved ones for now and yet also engaging in social connectivity.
