Here’s Damn The Planet and their new single “Lobotomy” right here on Hair Metal mixtape
That was Damn The Planet and their new single “Lobotomy” in anticipation of a new EP coming out soon!
Jason Lambson (Lead Vocalist, Guitarist & Keyboardist) said in an interview on The Artist Spotlight on Rock 94.7 “Lobotomy is a song about rejoining the music world after a 12 year complete hiatus. After telling a number of people that I was going to try and finally go for it with music, a few people were very supportive while a good pile of others looked at me like I was crazy. After all, I am close to midlife here. The response has been overwhelmingly positive in all fairness and we were even featured on a week long local artist spotlight here on 100.3 X. The song expresses all of these things including calling all my friends (musician) buddies to see who was in.”
There you have it folks! What did you think?
…And that was your Hear ’N Tell!
The Mixtape!

OK, Mixtapers! It’s Saturday so you know what that means. We’re home with family or friends (socially distanced I hope) or just chillin on a zoom hang, but anyway, we’re home and we are here to rock out with or air guitars out! That’s right! Saturdays I like to keep the hair tall and family friendly. And I believe Ear Damage Adam try to do the same with Ear Damage on Saturdays. Anyway, that way we can ALL tune in to Hair Metal Mixtape as a family and turn it up! Happy Hair Day folks!
And to kick off today’s Mixtape; though the album Done with Mirrors was intended to mark Aerosmith’s comeback, Permanent Vacation is often considered their true comeback, as it was the band’s first truly popular album since their reunion. “Rag Doll“, “Dude (Looks Like a Lady)“, and “Angel” became major hits (all three charted in the Top 20) and helped Permanent Vacation become the band’s greatest success in a decade. The album features a cover of the Beatles‘ “I’m Down“, which originally appeared as a B-side to their single “Help!” in 1965. This was Aerosmith’s second commercially released Beatles cover, after “Come Together“. Permanent Vacation has sold over five million copies in the U.S.
So here’s Aerosmith with their 1987 comeback hit AND comeback album that placed them them on the top 40 Hair Metal Mantel for all to enjoy and to agree that Dude, looks like a lady.

That was Shiraz Lane with their latest single “Broken Into Pieces” released September 2020
The band has issued the following statement regarding the track: “‘Broken Into Pieces’ is the product of a fruitful collaboration with multiple musical talents. On this specific track we had the pleasure of working with and including insight from Jean Beauvoir, Per Aldeheim and Joonas Parkkonen, who helped us squeeze out the full potential of the composition. The song has a dark flavoured mood along with the unquestionable Shiraz hit factor introduced in the chorus. The track will surely be one of the hard rock songs to remember from this decade.” Shiraz Lane is currently working on a new full length album. It’s not known at this time if “Broken Into Pieces” will be included on the record.
And that is today’s Hair Metal Mixtape #349 – Break Out!
How about them apples!
Saturdays don’t have to be heady or meta, that just have to be fun. Thanks for tuning in and thanks for sticking around. I appreciate and respect your time.
That’s it folks! Thanks for listening!
