But first… Hear N’ Tell!

Italian record label Frontiers Music Srl is at it again with the assembly of another group consisting of various musicians on its roster. This time, Frontiers has assembled a new the group by the name of Crowne, which includes Europe bassist John Levén and H.E.A.T keyboardist Jona Tee who handles the guitar and keyboard duties along with the production.

Let’s hear it and I’ll tell you some more after…

Here’s Crowne and their new single “Mad World” right here on Hair Metal Mixtape!

The Mixtape!

OK, Mixtapers! Like I mentioned at the top of the show, I’m trying a couple of new ideas on the Mixtape this week and today is one of them. Today I am premiering and Beta testing a fixed idea for Thursdays. I’m thinking of calling it Leathür & Denim Thursday or just Leathür & Denim because I wanted to reserve a day when I only play stuff from the first wave of glam metal in the early 80’s. Technically the Wiki Gods define the First wave as the years 1981–1986 and second wave from 1986-1991. So I thought it would be baller if I just rock out to early 80’s Leathür & Denim and remind us weekly where it all evolved or snowballed, pun intended. And to be honest with you this is gonna be a fun way to balance the classic with the current because tomorrow I am premiering another permanent fixture that I want to beta test and that’s New Music Fridays where I play ONLY new music to balance out the Thursday before plus I get to put together all the Hear N’ Tells into one Mixtape and it’ll feel like a Hear N’ Tell summary. How’s that sound? If you got an opinion or an idea be sure to hit me up on the social meeds. Hair Metal Mixtape is on Facebook and Instagram.

OK, I’ve givin’ you mixtapers enough time to change into your Leathür & Denim right? Good because I’m all fired up for today! And so is Fastway, here’s “All Fired Up” from the same titled album ‘All fired Up!’ Right here on Hair Metal Mixtape!

That was Night Ranger with “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me” from their 1982 debut studio album Dawn Patrol released November 1, 1982, by MCA Records.

And that is today’s Hair Metal Mixtape #347 – Leathür N’ Denim Thursday

How about them apples!

That was fun and refreshing. Sometimes I feel like I play too much of something and I start to get heady about things, so by dedicating a day to the First Wave of Glam Metal, I feel I can let it rock, let it roll and let it go. Thanks for tuning in and thanks for sticking around. I appreciate and respect your time.

That’s it folks! Thanks for listening!

I hope you are maintaining your physical distance from your friends and loved ones for now and yet also engaging in social connectivity.

Keep your vinyl clean!
